The majority of my floral material comes from right here on the farm. There's a quality to a flower picked at its peak, just steps from where it's arranged, that you simply can't replicate any other way. Anything that doesn't come from my farm comes from a trusted network of local flower friends and farmers, or from sustainable foraging. No matter the source, everything is local, seasonal, and considered. The pond is the heart of everything we do here. Much of the farm is wetland, which means working with this particular microclimate takes some creativity about what we grow and how. Because we farm small, we get to chase the unusual: fragrant Chocolate Cosmos, rare perennials, special "unicorn" dahlias, ornamental cardoon, pitcher plants, and an ever-growing collection of plants chosen purely for their color, texture, movement, and scent. A lot of what you'll see in your florals simply isn't available at a grocery store or traditional floral shop. Some of it isn't shippable at all. We farm without chemical fertilizers or pesticides and compost our spent flowers to return them to the Earth rather than the trash can. My floral design work is foam-free, too. We're also restoring the habitat around our stream, with native plantings on the horizon meant to support both the ecosystem and the flowers we grow — because helping the salmon come home matters just as much to us as the blooms themselves. Save the salmon, do the best we can, and grow really beautiful flowers. That's the whole mission.

We encourage couples to reach out 6–12 months before their wedding, especially for peak spring and summer seasons. This gives us time to fully understand your vision, develop a custom floral plan, and in many cases, change our growing plan at the farm to grow your flowers! While we do our best to accommodate shorter timelines, early booking allows for the best chance of securing your date, and ensures your designs are carefully curated without compromise.

Not every couple needs a full floral package, and that’s why we offer flexible à la carte options. If you simply want a stunning bridal bouquet, a few bridesmaid bouquets, and boutonnieres for the wedding party, we can happily create those for you. Some couples also choose to add small ceremony arrangements or centerpieces without going into full-service design. This approach allows you to choose only what you need while still enjoying Petal Pond's quality, style, and attention to detail.
